Whipz 4 Rent - Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 1st, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the Whipz 4 Rent website, booking requests, and vehicle rentals. By submitting a reservation request, renting, operating, or possessing a vehicle from Whipz 4 Rent (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility & Driver Requirements

  • Renter must be at least 21 years old.
  • Drivers ages 21-24 are subject to a $15/day young driver fee.
  • Only approved drivers listed on the reservation may operate the vehicle.
  • A valid government-issued driver’s license is required.
  • Whipz 4 Rent reserves the right to approve or deny any reservation at its sole discretion.

2. Insurance & Liability

  • Customers must maintain valid personal automobile insurance during the rental period.
  • Whipz 4 Rent does not provide insurance unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • The renter is solely responsible for ensuring insurance covers the rented vehicle in every state traveled.
  • By renting a vehicle, renter accepts full financial responsibility for any damage, loss, claim, injury, theft, diminished value, towing, impound, administrative costs, and loss of rental income arising from possession or operation of the vehicle unless otherwise prohibited by law.
  • Renter assumes full liability for incidents occurring during the rental period.

3. Security Deposit & Fees

  • A refundable $150 security deposit applies to most rentals.
  • Deposits may be withheld for damages, smoking, excessive cleaning, pet-related cleaning, unpaid tolls, tickets, refueling charges, towing, late returns, or policy violations.
  • Deposits are generally returned within 24-72 hours after inspection if no unresolved charges exist.

4. Vehicle Use Restrictions

  • Vehicles may not be used for reckless driving, racing, speed contests, off-road use, towing, illegal activity, or operation under the influence.
  • Vehicles may not be used for rideshare, courier, delivery, or transportation-for-hire services unless authorized in writing.
  • Unauthorized drivers are strictly prohibited.

5. Unlimited Mileage

Unlimited mileage is included for direct bookings and Turo bookings unless otherwise stated in writing.

6. Fuel Policy

  • Vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as pickup.
  • If fuel is lower upon return, renter agrees to a refueling charge of $8.00 per gallon.

7. Smoking & Pet Policy

  • Smoking or vaping inside vehicles is prohibited.
  • A $200 smoking remediation fee may apply for odor, ash, burns, residue, or evidence of smoking/vaping.
  • Pets are allowed only in approved carriers or carrying cases.
  • Excessive pet hair, odors, stains, or cleaning may result in pet cleaning fees.

8. Late Return Policy

  • A one-hour grace period applies.
  • Returns exceeding the grace period may result in an additional rental day charge.
  • Charges may be adjusted proportionally upon final review.

9. Tickets, Tolls & Violations

Customer is fully responsible for tolls, parking tickets, speeding tickets, towing fees, impound fees, and traffic violations occurring during possession of the vehicle.

10. GPS & Vehicle Monitoring

  • Vehicles may use GPS tracking or manufacturer telematics for theft recovery, safety, operational monitoring, and policy enforcement.
  • By renting, renter consents to such monitoring.

11. Accidents & Damage

  • Accidents, theft, breakdowns, or damage must be reported immediately.
  • Unauthorized repairs are prohibited.
  • Vehicle condition may be documented through pre-trip and post-trip photos.

12. Vehicle Recovery & Abandonment

Failure to return the vehicle, loss of communication, or unauthorized possession may result in recovery efforts, towing, GPS recovery, repossession, or law enforcement involvement.

13. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

  • Customer agrees not to initiate improper chargebacks for valid rental charges.
  • Whipz 4 Rent may submit agreements, photos, telematics, communication records, and documentation to dispute fraudulent payment disputes.

14. Outstanding Balances & Collections

Customer agrees to pay all outstanding balances, including rental charges, damages, tolls, parking tickets, traffic violations, towing, impound fees, cleaning fees, smoking fees, late return fees, refueling charges, collection costs, and any other amounts due under this agreement. Any unpaid balance may be referred to Whipz 4 Rent’s internal collections department and/or affiliated business service provider, including Biz Filing Agency, for recovery efforts, invoicing, dispute resolution, and collection activity. Customer agrees to reimburse reasonable collection costs to the extent permitted by law.

15. Lost & Left Behind Property

Whipz 4 Rent is not responsible for personal items left in rental vehicles. Any property left behind may be removed from the vehicle and transferred to Scoop Me Jay for secure storage and handling. Customer is solely responsible for all shipping, delivery, retrieval, storage, and return costs. Storage, handling, and transportation fees may apply. Property not claimed within thirty (30) days may be considered abandoned and disposed of, donated, or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law.

16. Booking Approval

  • Submitting a booking request does not guarantee approval or availability.
  • Pricing, deposits, and approval may vary based on verification, trip details, or risk factors.

17. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa.
  • Disputes shall be handled in Iowa courts.

Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a reservation request, checking acceptance boxes, taking possession of a vehicle, or using a Whipz 4 Rent vehicle, customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms of Service.
